The city of St. Cloud has been named one of the “greenest” cities in the country.
Country Home Magazine ranked St. Cloud 15 in the United States. The magazine analyzed official energy policies, green power, green buildings, and the availability of fresh, locally-grown food for hundreds of cities around the nation, according to its Web site.
The magazine ranked Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington eighth, Duluth 23rd and Rochester 34th.
Corvallis, Ore., was given top ranking among the 379 cities listed.
This is the second year of the rankings. St. Cloud was listed at 72 last year.
