Mar. 1st, 2007 03:45 pmI stayed up til midnight working on a project for my class today. Then I woke up feeling a touch throat scratchy. This has since escalated to tired, achey, and coughing. (heh, I initially typed couching). Luckily, work was pretty slow ao I left four hours early today. My boss was kinda eyeing me up and made a comment "Now no starting your vacation two days early..." If I hadn't been sick I would have thought of an immediate retort that Tim responded with "It's not like the plane is going to leave two days early!"
I got the back of my throat rubbed at the clinic and they said negatory to any strep throat. Probably just a virus. Drink plenty of fluids.
And a blizzard decides to hit. Cars are sitting on top of medians in the road or half their hoods are jammed into a snow pile around a curve. Class tonight is cancelled.
I only got out of bed to make sure I checked to see if class was cancelled.
Do you know how hard it is to type when your brain isn't all there? It requires intense amounts of concentration and coordination.
I just hope I don't feel quite as ass-y as I do right now when we leave for Italy on Saturday...
I also came to a realization today about the crappy "Jill you suck" meeting I had at work recently. I am now not quite concerned any more about telling my bosses what I think. I guess I figure no one could say anything worse to me and think any less of me, so I might as well just say what's on my mind - professionally, of course.
Ug. Back to my nice warm bed...
