This week is kicking my ass. Work, school and dog are all kicking my ass. So I prefer not to think about it. I will think other things...
Things that make me smile:
Monday, I came home for lunch and was greeted by a very wriggly happy flupper dog. Tim told me she saw me out the window in the living room and got all excited and then ran to the top of the steps. But apparently I wasn't fast enough so she ran back to the window, saw that I was closer, and ran back to the top of the steps to wait for me. I've got the puppy love. :)
Today, the dog got spayed and was at the vet's office all day. There was no puppy dog greeting me at the door. :( However, since we were sans dog, the kitty cat came trotting up the stairs to greet me instead. She was so soft and purring and happy to see me. I've got the kitty love. :)
This morning, my husband thanked me for vacuuming the house. I've got the hubby love. :)
I've found that the older I get, the more and more I believe in things like karma and the moon cycle. As in, this week has been kicking my ass, my mom's ass, and quite a few of my co-workers' asses, and I look up tonight en route to the vet and there's a pretty darn full moon softly glowing in the periwinkle sky.
The dog is quiet I just had to check to make sure she was still breathing. Our dog is a wriggly bundle of energy most days that it is hard to calm her down. But right now she is conked out on the futon. I just want give her hugs and make her all better, but it sounds like we have to take it easy for the next ten to fourteen days. That's a long time.
