My company is a second-generation family owned company. Mrs. first-generation passed away today from a stroke. It was just this January that one of the employees who has worked there for 25 years (there are two, and one who's been there for over 35 years) gave Mr. and Mrs. first-generation a handmade miniature wooden printing press.

My co-worker Chewy is stressed. He's got finals (he's a BCIS major) and he recently got a phone calle at work about family problems. He originally thought it was about his mother, whom he visited a year and a half ago because the doctors thought she didn't have much time left. But it was about his father, who is also not doing so well.

Did I mention his parents live in his home country of Nepal?

My co-worker Kevin heard about my plight for a hobby and loaned me a Knifty Knitter. For lack of a better word, it is nifty! And addiciting. However, I have not quite figured out yet what I will do with my big knitted rectangle of yarn. According to the website, I can use it to make scarves, potholders, dishcloths, and many other items. I figure it will be something to do while laying on the hammock in the sun.
